Corporate Teammate: Binsky & Snyder, LLC

Kandji joined the Red Bulls on loan on the MLS roster freeze deadline in Sept. 2008 after playing for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the United Soccer Leagues' First Division. Tall and athletic, Kandji can play up top as a target forward or on the wing.

Professional:

2008: After being signed on loan on Sept. 15, Kandji made five appearances and two starts. Made MLS debut On Sept. 27 vs. Colorado as a substitute and earned an assist on Matthew Mbuta's goal in 5-4 loss. Scored first MLS goal in 5-2 loss at Chicago on Oct. 23. Made two playoff appearances. Prior to joining New York, appeared in 21 matches while playing for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL First Division. Found the back of the net 11 times, including two game-winners. Recorded five assists, with two coming on game-winners. Received USL Best XI honors five times, including twice being named Player of the Week (Weeks 10 and 16).

2007: Appeared in 12 matches including playoffs, making 11 starts. Made professional debut Aug. 4 against the Charleston Battery. Netted two goals in 12 appearances, earning USL-1 Player of the Week in Week 17. Scored first professional goal on Aug. 10 vs. Puerto Rico Islanders. Tallied game-winner at Miami FC on Aug. 12. Helped the team reach the USL Championship Match.

Collegiate/Club:

Scored one goal and added one assist in eight appearances for Atlanta Silverbacks U23s of the Premier Development League (PDL) in 2006. Attended Georgia Military College from 2004-05. Tallied 17 goals and six assists in 2005 season, finishing fourth in the region in scoring. Earned All-Region honors in 2005.
