MLS Experience

2006: Laventure made his MLS regular season debut on July 8 at FC Dallas, entering the match as a substitute in the 67th minute. Made an immediate impact by notching his first career point that night, assisting on a Mike Magee goal. Earned MLS Goal of the Week honors for his first career goal, a long-range lob in a July 19 win over Columbus. Finished the '06 season with five appearances, tallying one goal and one assist.

College

Laventure played college soccer at Seton Hall University. Named to the All-Big East First team in 2005, notching eight goals and six assists during his senior season with the Pirates.

Personal

Tri-captained his college team his senior year with former New York and current Chivas USA defender Jason Hernandez. His father was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In November '06, Laventure along with teammates Jozy Altidore and Seth Stammler went on a six-day service trip to Haiti with Grammy Award winning musician Wyclef Jean and his charitable organization, Yele Haiti.
