2007: Joined the Red Bulls as a designated player on Jan. 24 and wore the captain's armband for most of the season. Started 21 games and notched three assists. Picked up his first point as a Red Bull with his assist on Clint Mathis' goal on May 5 against Real Salt Lake. Suffered a left toe sprain in a match on Sept. 29 vs. Real Salt Lake and sat out the remaining three regular season games before returning in the playoffs.

2006/2007: Reyna appeared in 15 games (12 starts) for English Premier League side, Manchester City before joining the Red Bulls on January 24, 2007.

2005/2006: Started in 22 games for Manchester City in the league. He scored a goal and an assist in the first 10 league matches.

2004/2005: Returned to the squad on March 7 against Bolton and played all 10 remaining league matches, scoring twice as Manchester City finished in eighth in the Premiership.

2003/2004: Reyna scored his first goal for Manchester City on Oct. 16 in a 6-2 win over Bolton. Made 23 total league appearances.

2002/2003: Was named Sunderland's "Player of the Month" in September and was the captain. However, suffered torn ACL on Oct. 26 against Bolton, as he missed remainder of the season.

2001/2002: Joined Sunderland for a record ($5.7 million) transfer fee from Scottish Premier League side, Glasgow Rangers. Starting the season with Rangers, Reyna scored tow goals in 10 games, as he started in all six of the team's UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup matches. At Sunderland, Reyna became a fixture in the Starting 11 and scored the game-winner on his home debut in a 1-0 win over Everton on Dec. 22, 2001. Made 17 appearances total for the Black Cats.

2000/2001: At Rangers, Reyna played a number of positions and made a total of 18 appearances for the Glasgow side. Helped Rangers reach the group stage of the Champions League.

1999/2000: Was a main part in the team's 11th Scottish Premier League title run in 12 years. He scored once in nine European appearances and was named Scotland's "Player of the Month" in August after scoring four goals in four games. Made a total of 29 appearances.

1998/1999: Started season with WfL Wolfsburg, where he was on loan from Bayer Leverkusen. Was first American ever to captain a team in Europe when he was given the armband in the summer of 1998. Transferred to Rangers (for $2.8 million) after playing 20 games for Wolfsburg.

1997-1998: Made 28 appearances (27 starts) in first year with Wolfsburg, and was ranked 25th best player in the German Bundesliga in 1998 Kicker magazine.

1996/1997: Made five appearances for Bayer Leverkusen before being loaned out to Wolfsburg in July 1997.

1995/1996: Played in 21 games for Leverkusen after being signed by the club on Aug. 8, 1994.

International

Considered one of the greatest players ever to don a U.S. National Team uniform, Reyna was the MNT's captain during the 2002 and 2006 World Cups. In 2002, Reyna helped lead the U.S. to a surprise quarterfinal berth. Due to his efforts, Reyna became the first American player in history to be named on the FIFA World Cup All-Star First Team. Reyna was also a member of the 1994 and 1998 U.S. World Cup teams. He's one of two players who have appeared on four U.S. MNT World Cup squads. Fourth all-time in caps for his country with 112. Has scored eight goals for the U.S. Was also a member of two Olympic squads (1992, 1996).

College

Playing for Red Bull Sporting Director/Head Coach Bruce Arena at the University of Virginia, Reyna helped lead the Cavaliers to three-straight NCAA titles from 1991 to 1993. He was named Soccer America Player of the Year in 1992 and 1993 and was a three-time first team NSCAA All-American.

Reyna is married to wife Danielle Egan, and the couple has three children, Jack, Giovanni and Joah-Mikel. Is a big Jack Johnson fan. Danielle is a former member of the U.S. Women's National Team. Fluent in both English and Spanish.
