Level 3 - Academy

Level 3 of the Player Development Pyramid is the Red Bulls Academy, an integral part of the Red Bulls Player Development System. It is the Elite Development Program for the best players in the area. Many young players aspire to play for the Red Bulls Academy. The Academy is where young players can develop into professionals or college team prospects. Players in the Academy train and play in a professional environment against some of the top local, domestic and international clubs.

In 2006 the Red Bulls Academy finished the season ranked No. 1 in North America by the United Soccer Leagues for the second consecutive year. Our U20 Academy team secured second place at the USL National Championships and our U17 team won the New Jersey State Cup. The Red Bulls Academy will field five Academy teams (U14, U15, U16 and U18 State Cup and U20 USL) in 2007. Academy players are selected from the Club Alliance Programs, the Regional Development Schools and by the Red Bulls scouting network.
