New York Red Bulls Training Programs
All players who participate in the Regional Development School are now given a thorough evaluation by their coach, and are rated on a number of learning outcomes specific to our curriculum. These learning outcomes reflect the season participated in, and are unique to the player's age, whether it is U10, U12, or U14. These three key stages encompass all ages 8 - 14, and reflect the key techniques and abilities that players should demonstrate at each stage of their development.
Our new system allows all evaluations to be stored on a comprehensive database, and kept for future reference. This allows RDS coaches the opportunity to look at a player's development over time, and tailor future training sessions to ensure each player receives the best possible training.
This state of the art system also gives Red Bulls Academy Coaches the opportunity to see the development and ratings of all RDS players at the click of a button. The chances of being identified as a future prospect for the Academy and First teams have never been better!
Each participant is also awarded with a Record of Achievement, which they can use to store all the evaluations they collect during their time within the RDS. These can be used to build a certified soccer resume, or portfolio, that will be a useful tool when applying for prospective clubs or high schools.
